ChecaChamba is a start-up which wants to help tradespersons and customers find each other in Mexico at a time when the digital medium is becoming more popular for finding products and services than the traditional mediums.
Leveraging Azure’s app services, Azure SQL Server and Blob Storage, I created a website with public sign-up, walk-through onboarding, account management and area-based searching. Microsoft .NET provided the back-end framework and Angular for the front-end.
Location Search
The search mechanism is different to the typical directory. Instead of trying to find the nearest tradesperson, it tries to find the best tradespersons who provide their services in your area. For this, tradespersons can detail the area in which they provide their services. They can only select a limited size. Then rankings are used to order the results based on customer reviews.

Review System

Tradespersons can be reviewed either by the tradesperson giving their customer a request link, or with the customer loging in to the site and filing in a review form themselves.
The review form, inspired by Uber, asks four questions which need a 5-star review, based on price, quality, punctuality and professionalism. A potential customer can then see these ratings on the tradesperson’s profile.
